Paul Mulcock: Head of Senior Appointments for sevenhr
May was a busy month for the Retail and FMCG recruitment teams at sevenhr. Not only did the teams successfully deal with an office move but they found the time to welcome the latest addition to sevenhr’s swelling ranks, albeit in an entirely new role for the business.
Paul Mulcock joined the company in May to become Head of Senior Appointments. He will be working on senior appointments across the business filling both FMCG jobs and retail appointments
A Huddersfield University Philosophy graduate, Paul has worked for a number of large recruitment companies over the past sixteen years. His recruitment experience spans a variety of industries including finance and accounting, and legal but also included 10 years specialising in FMCG recruitment. Paul has also placed within a multitude of functions and at most levels.
Before coming to sevenhr Paul ran the FMCG recruitment team at his previous employer for three years. When asked why he had decided to join sevenhr, Paul said “I had already worked in a number of recruitment roles filling everything from FMCG jobs in the food and drink industry to finance roles within Swiss banks. I was looking for a new challenge and I liked the core values sevenhr is built upon and the after sales care and commitment found within the Client Relations function. I also wanted to work predominately within the Food and Drink and Retail industries and obviously sevenhr specialise within retail and FMCG recruitment”.
Paul’s achievements to date are impressive, and he brings not only a wealth of experience but a rare talent too. In addition to running the FMCG recruitment team in a previous role, Paul has also been the highest performing new consultant serving FMCG jobs and ran the biggest FMCG account (95% retained) within that business. Whilst at a previous employer Paul was also the first consultant to break the £300k mark.
Antony Smith, Managing Director at sevenhr commented, “We are all very pleased with Paul’s appointment. He brings with him huge experience within Retail and FMCG recruitment and a proven track record successfully filling high level retail and FMCG jobs. He will be a welcome addition to an already talented staff”.
In addition to filling high level FMCG jobs for clients Paul’s interests include Karate, (in which he is a 1 st Dan black belt instructor), but also a softer side through his daughters ballet and his wife’s violin playing with the Huddersfield Philharmonic Orchestra.
We welcome Paul into the sevenhr team and wish him great success in his new role.
