Wrigley Poland

The Business

Wrigley has a strong position within Poland; currently holding 95% of the chewing gum market. Due to this their main target is to increase the volume of sales and not necessarily increase market share. They are a very stable company with very few competitors. This was a first placement with the business and we are continuing to build a relationship with them.

The Problem

They were looking for somebody to take a new position within the company. Due to the new brand launches and sheer volume of work to be undertaken, it was necessary to create a new role. The successful candidate would need to have the ability to research the marketplace to understand where products would sit and sell effectively, especially from within an FMCG business. They would also need to be fluent in English, commercial and very analytical.

The Process Undertaken

It was agreed to undertake the recruitment process at database level after we had taken a full and in depth brief. This involved searching and approaching candidates on the sevenhr database as well as highlighting contacts that could be networked for recommendations.
The largest challenges we faced when recruiting for the role related to the poor level of English potential candidates had, the location of candidates in relation to the business, and the salary levels demanded by people of the right calibre. 
A number of candidates were however highlighted and approached to gauge their interest in the business, with interviews conducted to understand their skills, motivations and culture fit with Wrigley.
Four candidates were invited for interview, undertaking a three stage process. From this the candidate was offered and accepted.
