My initial contact with sevenhr was in connection with a different opportunity. When at the last possible moment they declined to invite me to interview I was worried that this would damage my potential to get a great role of equal calibre and that the consultants would downgrade me as a strong candidate and not pass on the best opportunities to me. However, the complete reverse was true. Stewart went out of his way to highlight my availability to the wider team and I think in total I was in contact with about 7 individual consultants at sevenhr, all of whom exhibited extreme professionalism in their dealings with me, while being sensitive to the fact that I was looking at numerous opportunities - which was complex in itself.
Sevenhr performed better than other consultants because there is clear communication and consistency - keeping promises - all consultants were equally professional. They are better at truly listening and understanding the non-negotiables of a career move and motivation drivers.
Successful Candidate
We have been working closely with Danone since the beginning of 2006 in both the UK and Poland. In total we have registered 17 vacancies with the business, enabling us to build a strong relationship and understanding with the business. In order to develop this further we have held numerous meetings with the business to gain a comprehensive overview of the business and strengthening the relationship.
For this particular role someone had left their position as National Account Manager – Foodservice. Therefore, somebody was needed for the role to come in and hit the ground running. The successful candidate needed to be of degree calibre with a blue chip background. In addition they wanted somebody with foodservice experience with a strong path of progression through their career.
Ross has developed a large list of potential candidates within our database of people who were seen as good matches for Danone or people who have expressed an interest in the business but roles are not necessarily available at that time.
As vacancies arise, we can then contact the relevant people within the list to see if they are interested, to quickly identify the right profiles and ensure we had targted the peple who were genuinely interested in the business.
The successful candidate had other applications when she became involved with the Danone recruitment process; however her interest was with Danone. It was important to match the candidate to best position for her requirements and so sevenhr worked closely with Danone to produce a role suited to her specific career aims and objectives. After a second interview she was offered the role immediately.
