The Feedback
“The consultant was the best I have come across. Right from the start, the whole process was explained to me. Things were always done when they were supposed to be. We always went through the interview afterwards, analysing what had happened and gaining feedback from the company. A very professional approach overall”.
Andrew Wrigley - Successful Candidate
“sevenhr have definitely been the best consultancy I've dealt with. They accurately sold the role to me, communicated everything and put forward suggestions regarding the situation. Always very professional”.
Jacqui Abley - Successful Candidate
“There was always the human element there. I didn't feel as though I was being sold to. sevenhr is all about listening and working with you as a business”.
Louise Davis, Category Controller, The Cheese Company
The Challenge
Due to re-structuring, an international food business client needed to fill two National Account Executive and two Account Development Manager positions.
However, the company had encountered a number of difficulties with recruitment companies and was quite sceptical. It was interested to see if sevenhr would be different.
Their concerns were:
- recruitment consultants were pushy and tended not to listen,
- irrelevant CVs were submitted and unsuitable candidates put forward,
- and that job roles and the structure of their business were poorly understood.
The Solution
- The sevenhr approach, including the importance of gaining a good understanding of client businesses, was outlined.
- sevenhr held face-to-face meetings with a number of key people from within the client organisation to gain an informed view of the company's culture, aims and, in turn, their requirements.
- Methods, timescales, contacts and procedures to ensure regular updates were then agreed.
- Beginning with an executive search, candidates were initially sought from competitors' companies within the surrounding area, before extending to a larger geographical area.
- The search was supported by an advertising campaign designed to attract appropriate candidates actively seeking a new position.
- Despite the client changing their requirements to one junior position and two senior positions mid-project, all three roles were successfully filled on time.
- The client was very receptive to the sevenhr feedback as it provided several valuable insights that will offer useful guidance in the future. At the end of the process, a full debrief was provided.
